Reading Log:
- Reading logs will go home with students on Monday.
- Reading logs will be due the following Monday.
- Students are to read 20 minutes minimum per night.
- The 20 minutes each day, can be split up if students aren't up to reading for 20 minutes straight. They could break it into 10/10 min or 5/5/5/5 min for a total of 20 minutes per night. If really needed, parents can alternate reading a pages with students.
- Students will then need to fill out the reading log entry for that night.
- This semester we will only be using the reading log below.
REMEMBER: The purpose of the reading log is to get students reading and thinking about what they read as well as building up their fluency and stamina for bigger reading assignments.
Idioms
- Each nine weeks, students will be tested over the idioms they worked on in class.
- The test will be the last Tuesday of the nine weeks.
- Students will be required to match the idiom to their definition.
